Orthodontist
WHY DID YOU CHOOSE TO BE AN ORTHODONTIST?
I have always been interested in Orthodontics and Orthodontic problems still fascinate me even after 20 years. I enjoy the challenge of solving problems and crafting beautiful smiles. I love seeing their problem unravel at each visit and sharing in my patients' excitement.
HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE THE WAY YOU WORK?
I have a modern practice but I subscribe to old-fashioned values of mutual trust and respect. I would like my patients to feel relaxed with me and my team. I strive to deliver the best I can with an honest, sensible approach to treatment, that I hope is appreciated and works predictably in my hands.
WHAT DO YOU MOST ENJOY ABOUT YOUR JOB?
I love the feeling of being helpful and making a difference to others. Working in my practice for 15 years I am grateful for the pleasure of building lasting relationships with my patients and following up my work the longer term.
BACKGROUND
I was born in India and moved to the UK age 9. I come from a medical family. I qualified as a dentist in 1992 from Guy's Hospital, London and trained in several branches of dentistry before specialising in Orthodontics. I trained at King's Dental Institute, London and The Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford. I am a fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England since 2002. I started my practice in 2004 and also worked at St Richards hospital until 2017.
PERSONAL
My husband is also a dentist and was born in Portsmouth. We have been living in Chichester since 2006 and we have 2 young daughters at secondary school. I love my work and find it easy to discuss crooked teeth all day! I allow myself days out to attend professional courses, which open my mind to new ways of working. I enjoy books that help me think and live better. I like the thought of being an artist & have a big collection of houseplants! I also love cooking, traveling, and theatre. I enjoy running on a Sunday and Yoga to keep the old joints working!

Orthodontist
I studied at King’s College London and graduated as a dentist in 2011. Over the next few years I worked in a general dental practice in Southampton, the maxillofacial department at Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth and for Sussex Community Dental Service. I then started my postgraduate training in Orthodontics at the Eastman Dental Institute and St Richard’s Hospital in Chichester.
I moved to Chichester in 2015. Since then I completed specialist training in Orthodontics, bought a house, adopted two rescue cats, got married and had a baby! I spend my time working at the Chichester Orthodontic Clinic and St Richard’s Hospital along with looking after my son. In my spare time I mostly like to sleep, but when I am feeling more active I like to cook, read good books, go on long walks and do activities with my son like soft play and swimming.
I love that Orthodontics gives me the opportunity to help people through their journey to a beautiful smile. Wherever you go you can take a smile with you.
