We are delighted and proud that our patients travel to us from all over West Sussex and Hampshire, including Worthing, Bognor Regis, Emsworth, Havant, Petersfield, Midhurst, Pulborough. We even have patients from further away such as London, Southampton and Switzerland!! Some of our children board in towns much further away and we accommodate them on Saturdays and school holidays.

Ms Ritu Gupta BDS, MSc. FDS. Morth. RCS(Lond.)
Ritu qualified as a dentist in 1992 from Guys Hospital, London. She worked in general practice and in the hospital service for several years before training in Orthodontics for 3 years at Kings College Hospital, London and The Royal Surrey County Hospital, Guildford. She obtained a postgraduate degree in Orthodontics from the Royal College of Surgeons of England in 2002. She is registered as a specialist with the General Dental Council (Registration No. 68593) and British Orthodontic Society.
Her philosophy to have a personal, friendly & professional approach to the care of her patients. She is interested in modern, progressive orthodontic techniques such is Lingual braces and Clear aligners which give the best treatment outcomes in the most discrete way possible. She regularly attends professional development courses to update her skills & knowledge.
She has worked in the hospital service for virtually all her professional life and is continuing to do so as part of the orthodontic team at St. Richards Hospital. She divides her professional time between her specialist practice and the hospital service. She has been involved in teaching trainee orthodontists, dentists and nurses.
She lives in Chichester with her husband and two young daughters. When she has time for hobbies, she enjoys gardening, swimming and watching movies.
The Team
Dr. Jane Cliff is Specialist in Orthodontics and registered with the General Dental Council. She qualified from The Royal London Hospital in 2005. She has a clinic on Monday with us and also works in other specialist practices in the area. Jane has a young family and enjoys riding her two horses.
Jane joined our practice in February 2011 as our practice manager and senior treatment co-ordinator. She is an expertienced dental practice manager and has worked in the local area for the best part of her career. She is available at the practice from Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday to liaise with patients about their treatment and appointments.
Ann-Marie joined our practice in December 2007 as a practice manager. However, recently as our practice has grown, she has decided to reduce her working committments. She is now with us on Thursdays and helps Jane to manage the practice and answer the telephone. She has been involved in the orthodontics and oral surgery profession for over 20 years at St. Richard’s hospital, Chichester. She is an experienced manager and qualified dental nurse. This experience puts her in a great position to promote our practice and treatments we offer. She makes practice visits and liaises with our local dental practices.
Caroline joined our practice in September 2005 as a dental nurse with several years of experience in general dentistry. We are very proud of her achievements since then. She gained her dental nurses qualification which allowed her to be registered with the General Dental Council and she went on to study harder and obtain her Specialist Orthodontic nursing qualification. She is also certified in taking impressions and assists the orthodontists in the treatment room. She runs her own record taking clinic and gives instructions on the after-care of braces and oral hygiene. She is responsible also for co-ordinating treatment for our NHS patients.
Donna joined our practice in February 2011 as an Orthodontic nurse and Treatment Co-ordinator. She previously gained qualification as a dental nurse and is registered with the General Dental Council. She is an experienced orthodontic nurse and is planning to study for the specialist nurse qualification. She assists the orthodontists in the treatment room and works closely with Jane to co-ordinate the journey of our Private Patients.
Ritu established this practice in October 2004 and we relocated to our lovely premises at 20 Westgate, Chichester in February 2009. The building is Grade 2 listed and has been transformed from a dated gentlemans’ hairdresser into a modern Specialist Practice. We hope you find our premises clean and relaxing.
To ensure patient confidentiality, we do not have a dedicated receptionist answering phonecalls in our waiting room . Therefore when you arrive for your appointment, please have a seat and we will come out to greet you. You can ring the bell to attact our attention if you arrive earlier than your appointment time or if you arrive without an appointment. We are delighted to say that West Sussex Primary Care Trust recently inspected our premises and found it to be “excellent” in terms of our compliance with best practice guidelines.
